W dniach 16 i 17 czerwca 2007 w Trzebieży przeprowadzony
został egzamin na stopień Master of Yachts 200 Tons według wymagań IYT
(International Yacht Training), w którym uczestniczyło aż sześciu członków
Bractwa Szyprów. Wszyscy
zdali.

Captain Adam Jasser
and Graduates
On June 17th 2007,
30 of the most experienced Polish yachtsmen and women graduated from a workshop
conducted by International Yacht Training, (IYT) with the
internationally recognized MCA Master Of Yachts 200 Tons Offshore
Certificates of Competence.
The group, representing the cream of Polish Yachting, all knew of each other but only came together for the first time for the workshop, which was run under the auspices of the combined Polish Yachting Association, (PYA) and IYT initiative. The event was organized and led by Capt Adam Jasser, IYT’s representative and Chief Examiner for Poland and supported by Mr. Maciej Lesny, Vice president of the PYA.
Intensive instructor examinations were
conducted by Cris Taylor, VP of operations of IYT.
The candidates have logged
hundreds of thousands of nautical miles between them, some are career Master
Mariners, and all have sailed extensively on Sail Training Association of
Poland vessels in addition to their careers on yachts.
